Why LED Posters?
Before getting into the setup, it’s worth mentioning where these displays really shine. LED posters are ideal for retail environments, hotel lobbies, showrooms, exhibitions, and corporate receptions — anywhere you want high-impact digital signage without the weight, depth, or installation complexity of a traditional LED wall. Because each unit is self-contained, they can be deployed individually for smaller spaces or combined into larger configurations as your needs grow.
Unboxing and Assembling the Hikvision Base
Each poster ships in a flight case with the screen, base, brackets, and accessories. The first step is to remove the base and accessories and attach the brackets to the base using the supplied screws and Allen key. With the base prepared, you’ll need a second person for the next part. Lift the poster into position and align the two guide points on the base with the rubber feet underneath the screen. Once aligned, attach the brackets and secure them tightly. Repeat this for each screen you’re installing.
Cabling: HDMI and Ethernet Daisy-chain
This is where a multi-screen setup differs from a single unit. The Hikvision posters are designed to daisy-chain, which keeps cabling clean and simplifies content distribution. For each screen except the last, connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable to the loop output. The HDMI loop output from each screen runs into the HDMI input of the next screen in the row. The final screen in the chain only has one HDMI cable connected — to its input. The same logic applies to the Ethernet cables, linking each screen in sequence. Once cabling is complete, connect the power cable to each screen and switch them on using the red power switch on the back. The switch will illuminate when active, and the screens will begin booting.Physically Joining the Hikvision Posters
To create a seamless wall, the posters need to be locked together along their inner edges. Open the inner edge plates on each panel, then push the screens together carefully, making sure the connectors align correctly. Using the supplied Allen key, tighten all the locking points on the back of the panels. Work across the full row until every poster is secured. This step is what gives you that flush, near-bezel-less appearance that makes LED posters so visually impressive.
Binding the LED Poster Screens Together
With everything physically connected, the next stage is to tell the screens they’re part of a single display. Insert the remote control’s USB receiver into the first screen. Using the button on the top right of the remote, set the first screen to Android and all other screens to HDMI. Press OK on the remote, then press the left arrow to navigate to Splice Setting, and press OK again. Each poster will display its serial number on screen. Select each screen in the order it appears in your physical layout, double-check the layout preview, and press Save. The screens will refresh and combine into one synchronised display.
Running Content from USB
For most quick deployments — pop-up retail, an event, a temporary campaign — running content locally from a USB stick is the fastest option. Insert a USB memory stick into the first screen. Press OK on the remote, navigate to Program Release, and select Add Program. Choose a template, select your content type, pick your media from the USB drive, then press Save and Release to play. The content will distribute across the linked display automatically.
Ready to Deploy
That covers the full process — from unboxing a single unit to running synchronised content across a multi-panel LED wall. Whether you’re using one poster for a focused brand message or building out a larger video wall for a retail flagship or event space, the Hikvision 5th Generation LED Poster is one of the most straightforward systems to get up and running.
